    • Blame the Victim

    A kidnapper sued his victims for not helping him evade police. This lawsuit is the run-away winner in online voting for the Top Ten Most Ridiculous Lawsuits of 2011, says the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform.

    In Kansas, Jesse Dimmick kidnapped newlyweds Jared and Linda Rowley in 2009. The couple is suing Dimmick and this year he countersued claiming the Rowleys breached an oral contract to hide him, resulting in Dimmick being shot by police
